Mexican Food in Kenosha

Our Story

Los Taquitos was founded by Adrian and Hilda Viveros, with the help of their sons.  Adrian and Hilda had come up with a recipe for Tacos Al Pastor, a traditional Mexican dish particularly popular in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico, where they got their start.  After moving to the US in 1993, they began catering at parties, making a name for themselves in the Chicago area with their exceptional Tacos Al Pastor.  They moved to Kenosha in 2001 and continued their catering service, getting more and more recognition until finally, in 2004 they were ready to open a restaurant.  Los Taquitos opened, originally serving only 5 kinds of tacos, burritos, tortas and quesadillas.

The restaurant was a huge hit!  The attention to detail, and a genuine desire to only serve the best food we could, quickly set us apart from other Mexican restaurants in town.  Our mission is simple: Cook every dish as if you were going to eat it yourself.  That simple concept is the reason that, more than ten years later, Los Taquitos continues to grow and expand.  Our location may be different, but our mission remains the same.
